What We Charge

Above Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant

We’ve made our charges clear, fair and competitive

We aim to be upfront and transparent in all our business with you, and that includes what we charge for our services.

Some high-street banks or financial institutions offer ‘free’ advice. But they can only recommend the restricted range of products that they themselves offer. And, of course, the charges for their limited advice are often hidden in significantly higher ongoing costs than you could get elsewhere.

As fully independent Chartered Financial Planners we’re not tied to any one company or group of companies, and we have a whole market view. So we can tailor a unique financial solution solely with your particular goals in mind from the thousands of options available on the market.

"Typically the gains you will make in terms of investment growth, lower ongoing costs, increased income or tax-saved will outweigh the charges you pay us."

Instead of relying on commission payments, we make a charge for this service, which generally is in the form of a small percentage of the money invested. It means you can be sure we always recommend the plan that’s best for you, rather than the one that’s best for us. This can be a one off-fee, for example with a pensions review and consolidation, or as an ongoing arrangement for managing continuing investments.

But (bearing in mind that all investment carries some risk) typically the gains you will make in terms of investment growth, lower ongoing costs, increased income or tax-saved will outweigh the charges you pay us.

How our charges work

We always lay out our charges clearly before we start any work for you so you can be sure there are no hidden costs or unexpected extras. Often the costs can be paid directly out of the funds invested, for instance with pensions and individual investments.

And for private clients we don’t bill on an hourly basis. We want you to feel free to contact us with any questions you have, or meet with us, whenever you’d like without worrying about it costing you any more. (For corporate clients we will discuss an appropriate, competitive, fee structure individually with each business.)

"We always lay out our charges clearly before we start any work for you so you can be sure there are no hidden costs or unexpected extras."

We aim to provide the highest quality of clear, jargon-free advice to our clients, helping them plan their future, grow their investments and achieve their financial goals. And, as a smaller, well-established family firm without the marketing overheads of some of our bigger rivals, we’re confident you’ll find us competitive when it comes to our charges.

If you’d like more information do call or email.

The initial meeting is always at our expense.
